If you’re going to be sitting a lot today, why not try these tricks?

  • Raise your feet on a stool, block, or large book so that your knees are slightly higher than your hips. You will likely feel relief in your low back.
  • Interlace your fingers behind your head. Look up. Squeeze your shoulder blades together.
  • Squeeze your butt as hard as you possibly can for 20 full seconds. No, squeeze harder than that! Your glutes are meant to help your posture. You can put those muscles to work even while you’re sitting on them.
