Here’s the good and the bad news about your thoughts: you are the only one who can control them.

  • What is the opposite of negative? Grateful. What can you be grateful about right now? Start with being grateful for your five senses, your feet and hands. You can usually find much more when you start there. 
  • Smell peppermint oil. It actually improves your mood. (or fresh linens, or madelines, or…)
  • When you can’t find anything positive around you, try doing something positive for someone else. A random act of kindness.
